Oxer Bastegieta is an innovative winemaker from the Basque Country, who has had a significant impact on the Spanish wine industry, particularly in the Rioja Alavesa region. His journey in wine making began in 1999 when his father asked him to make txakoli for his family restaurant in Bizkaia. This initial adventure sparked his passion for winemaking, which led him to complete a Master's Degree in Viticulture and Oenology in Laguardia, a picturesque town in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

In 2005, Oxer moved to Laguardia, captivated by the region's unique terroir and landscape. He began to produce deeply personal wines that reflect the characteristics of the area. Oxer is committed to ecological and biodynamic agricultural practices, focusing on the health and vitality of old vineyards. It uses traditional methods, such as working the land with mules, to maintain the natural balance and enhance the quality of its wines.
